Honeymoon!!

Our honeymoon was a blast! We had a ton of fun and only got sick on the second to last day. The water was pretty rough that day and everyone on the boat seemed to be affected by it. We left the Long Beach port on Monday December 29, 2008 and got back on January 2, 2009. It was such a beautiful day!

We had our 30 minute session on boat safety and we had to wear our life jackets...

Dave and I played a trivia game with TV shows and he won a medal!! The other person won a piece of ship on a stick...we thought that was pretty funny...lol! On top of the ship there was an 8 hole miniature golf course and a running track. With all the food we were eating we should have chose running, but it was our honeymoon so of course we went with mini golf...

The morning of Catalina Island we took our time getting up and getting ready. The line to get on the boats was super long and wrapped around like two flights of stairs. We figured that we could just play some games in the arcade and then head to Catalina.

Catalina Island was really fun. We rented a golf cart and traveled around the island. Dave couldn't rent the cart because of his age...I guess its a good thing he married older than him or we would have been walking the whole island. The one thing I wanted was a caramel apple so we got one after the carts and before getting on the boat. It was so big and delicious!

As we were eating the apple, the fog started to come towards the island and was really thick. We decided to get back to the boat. We ended up getting lost because the fog was so thick and made our way completely around the boat before actually finding it. We almost thought we were going to get lost and stuck forever...haha

We finally made it safely to the boat and enjoyed the rest of the evening.

The next day we made it to Ensenada Mexico! We took a tram/bus to get to downtown.

As we were waiting for the bus to go to La Bufadora we decided to take a picture in front of a restaurant. They kept trying to sell us these awesome specials on drinks. We just kept saying no...I guess they didn't understand in English or Spanish.

We had a nice time at La Bufadora. I introduced Dave to some Mexican food and for the most part he liked it. I'm glad he liked the papas con chile y limon! They are my favorite. After we got back downtown after La Bufadora we walked around and had a paleta. It was a nice day and Dave did really good walking around with his sore knee. We took a silly monkey picture before we got back on the ship.

We went to shows each night and tried to take advantage of all the opportunities on the boat. Ensenada was also New Year's Eve and it was a magic show that night.

Right after the show we headed out to the deck to have a little countdown fun!!

The last day on the boat was really chill. We participated in a newlyweds game and had tons of fun. We actually won, but all the particpants got a free bottle of champagne...we gave ours to one of our dinner mates. They replayed the game on the TV and it played like all day. By the next morning while everyone was checking out people were congratulating us..."yeah the newlyweds!" We entered in a ping pong tournament and I lost the first round. Dave played the guy that beat me and got out that second round. We enjoyed the rest of the day and got ready for the next morning docking.
